Grace in the City is the local missions and benevolence ministry of Grace Point Fellowship meant to help others know the grace of Jesus. We believe God has placed our church here for a reason: to serve our community with tangible expressions of His grace and goodness. Jesus calls us to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31), and we take that to mean our actual neighbors, starting in Hunter, Franklin, and Middletown and reaching out across greater Cincinnati and Dayton.
Living Local & Loving Local
To love local, we serve those in need in our church and community, invest in our city, and partner with local organizations that show God’s grace to those hurting most. To live local, we show up at community events, support local ministries, and engage with the people right where we live. Local Partners
Hunter Elementary Outreach
Two festivals each year, teacher appreciation days, meals for staff during parent conferences, and a Christmas outreach where our church family partners with families from the school to help make the season brighter.
Hope House
Each quarter, our church family serves a dinner at Hope House, sharing a meal and spending time with the residents and staff. Beyond these dinners, there are many other ways to get involved throughout the year, and we’d love to help you find a place to serve that fits your gifts and schedule.
English as a Second Language
We’re always looking for people who want to teach English or simply spend time in conversation with our international friends. No teaching experience is needed, just a willingness to listen, share, and build friendships. It’s a simple way to make a real difference as our friends grow in confidence and feel at home in our community.
R House
R House is an established ministry in Dayton that serves vulnerable women, and it’s now expanding to Middletown. R House offers women a safe place to take a shower, find clothing, and have meaningful gospel conversations. One way our church family can help is by collecting paper goods like plates, cups, and plastic ware. It’s also a great opportunity for women to be trained to serve there, and volunteers are always needed. We’d love to help you find your place in this growing ministry.
Embrace Grace
Embrace Grace walks alongside single and expecting moms and dads facing an unexpected pregnancy, helping them find hope, community, and a church family that cares. Through support groups, mentoring, and practical help like baby showers for new moms, the local church becomes a place of love and belonging. There are many ways to get involved, from mentoring a mom or welcoming her as a church buddy to helping celebrate new life, and we’d love to help you find your place.
Shoes 4 The Shoeless
Shoes 4 the Shoeless has been bringing relief to children in Southwest Ohio since 2010 by delivering brand new gym shoes and socks right to their schools. For many kids, it’s the first pair that truly fits, bringing comfort, confidence, and hope. Volunteers help fit and serve thousands of children each year, and there are always ways to get involved, from serving at school deliveries to donating new socks.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace
Sleep in Heavenly Peace believes no child should sleep on the floor. Their volunteers build and deliver free beds, complete with mattresses and bedding, to children who are sleeping on floors, couches, or sharing a bed. Our church family helps deliver beds to kids in Montgomery County, carrying them into homes, assembling them, and praying with families who’d like it. Ages 6 and up can serve, so it’s a great opportunity for the whole family!
Grace For Today
Are you looking for a safe place to find help and healing? Grace For Today is a women’s support group led by a team of ladies from Grace Point Fellowship who share a common journey of healing from the past. Our goal is to continue to grow and heal together by helping and supporting one another today. Join us each week as we look to God’s grace to discover help for the challenges of today and hope for a peaceful tomorrow!
At each weekly meeting, we walk through issues rooted in our pasts and work together to find help and encouragement together to live our lives in freedom today. We use biblical truth without “preaching”, but instead seek to share how God has and is working in us today, remembering the past as points on our life-map that tell us how far we have come and giving us hope for a tomorrow that will be beyond anything we could hope or imagine.
